Fenghuang, China

I am certain that the Fenghuang from today is a lot different from the Fenghuang I experienced in 2015. It was an interesting place but extremely cold due to the humid climate and the lack of heating there. We only ended up staying one night. I’d be curious to see it now because back then the whole town was a construction site. It seemed to me that this town is now mostly functioning as a tourist attraction but it actually has a rich history. Fenghuang lies in Hunan province and is for example also known as the home town of the phoenix, a mythical bird and a Chinese symbol for luck. Not far located from Fenghuang is also the Southern part of the Chinese Wall.
